Like its counterpart work Frontier, Coast explores the interstice between representation and concept, form and formlessness. The terrain itself is ‘under erasure’, unstable and alchemically in transition from solid to fluid. These pieces are part of a series of works rooted in Icelandic landscapes, and include the large-scale live performance work ˜plicity, for variable instrumental ensemble, live electronics, and live video.
